ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Born in the south of Ecuador, Yuri Caicedo was raised in a shrimp industry environment., his parents and relatives own shrimp farms in the provinces of El ORO and Guayas famous for its Shrimp´s production. His parents also has a small shrimp exporting company and he has worked as a sales agent and quality supervisor for some Ecuadorian exporters. Therefore, he knows very well the Ecuadorian shrimp market.
ECUADORIAN SHRIMP INDUSTRY
The Ecuadorian shrimp industry exported in 2019 a record of 1.4 billion pounds (635,029 metric tons). Ecuador is one the main shrimp exporting countries in the world.
Head-on and headless shrimp are the most common exported products for the Ecuadorian shrimp industry, mainly sold to China, EU, and the U.S.
